Cody Austin

Cody Austin’s oil and gas accounting background covers revenue and royalties, finance, operational accounting, joint ventures, and internal audit. He also has practical experience with IFRS and SOX reporting. Before joining Integrity, he worked for a large producer analyzing and responding to audits, giving him experience on both sides of an engagement.

His education includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Calgary and a CAPPA Production Accounting certificate earned at SAIT in 2012. He obtained his CMA/CPA designation in 2011.

Cody led the Petroleum Accountants Society of Canada as president from 2015 to 2019. During that four-year term he oversaw a financial restructuring and became the society’s youngest and longest-serving president. He has also served on its board and Education Committee, developing technical training on PASC and AIPN agreements.

He contributes to conferences and seminars as a speaker and panellist and has represented industry on committees developing audit and accounting frameworks. His work connects accounting analysis with business decisions and practical commercial requirements.
